So, briefly, here is the low down on my Leishmaniasis. Will explain in further detail when I have time.Timeline:

Contracted in August 2006 in Esmeraldas Province, Ecuador from a sand fly bite

Diagnosed in January 2007 as Leishmania panamensis after two biopsies were sent to the CDC

Started treatment using Pentostam from the CDC via a PIC line on March 20 and received intravenous fluids for 20 consecutive days.
